DESCRIPTION:AQUA 2024 – Copenhagen\, Denmark\, August 26-30\, 2024 \nThe Boards of Directors of the European Aquaculture Society and the World Aquaculture Society have just approved a change of location and date for the AQUA 2024 event\, previously scheduled in Stavanger\, Norway for June. \nWe are happy to announce that AQUA 2024 will take place from August 26-30 in Copenhagen. It will comprise a scientific conference\, trade exhibition\, industry forums\, workshops\, student events and receptions. The event will highlight the latest aquaculture research and innovation to underpin continued growth of this exciting food production sector.  It will be a showcase for Denmark\, and its innovation leadership in several key technologies crucial for future aquaculture\, but also a meeting and exchange platform for experts from around the world. \nThe theme of AQUA 2024 is BLUE FOOD\, GREEN SOLUTIONS. DESCRIPTION:The objective is to end this Workshop Session with a paper that will be our 2nd Recommendation. \nOn October 30th the Aquaculture Advisory Council approved its first Recommendation on the Future Strategic Guidelines for the Sustainable Development of EU Aquaculture. \nAs a follow up of the publication of DG MARE’s revised outline for the future Guidelines and in view of the publication of the definitive document in early 2020\, we have convened a special AAC meeting on December 10th (10:00-17:00\, Copa Cogeca) dedicated exclusively to discuss a second\, more detailed recommendation.
