The Aquaculture Advisory Council (AAC) organised a webinar on March 11, 2022 in the presence of Dr Rasmus Nielsen, Chairman of the Economic Working Group for Aquaculture under the Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries (STECF).

On the occasion of the AAC's General Assembly and the publication of the Strategic guidelines for a more sustainable and competitive EU aquaculture, MEP Clara Aguilera sent a supporting video of the work done within the AAC.

On the occasion of the 2021 AAC's General Assembly and the publication of the Strategic guidelines for a more sustainable and competitive EU aquaculture, DG MARE's Director-General, Ms Charlina VITCHEVA, sent a video on the challenges to come and supporting the work done within the AAC.

On the 24th September 2020, the Aquaculture Advisory Council (AAC) has received an official reply from the European Commission’s Directorate for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE)’s Director General, Mrs. Charlina Vitcheva, to its Recommendation on the revaluation of the risk assessment of parasites in farmed fish products.

The Aquaculture Advisory Council (AAC) met on Tuesday 8th of September on the occasion of its General Assembly, which theme this year was EU aquaculture and the EU Green Deal.

On the occasion of the AAC's General Assembly, Commissioner Sinkevičius sent a supportive video to the AAC's work.

The AAC Working Group on Horizontal Matters has produced a report on "Developing criteria and methodologies for determining aquaculture areas for marine space development in the EU" with the consultant Dr. Lorraine Gray. 

 

On September 24th 2019, the Aquaculture Advisory Council was represented by its Executive committee member Yannis Pelekanakis at the Copernicus Marine for the Aquaculture Sector workshop in Athens.
