The AAC has published a Recommendation to the European Commission and the Members States to present the enhanced role of aquaculture Professional Organisations (POs) in promoting the sustainable development of aquaculture and contributing to the objectives of strategic European policies. It provides feedback on the difficulties faced by existing POs in implementing their Production and Management Plan or on individual stakeholders to set up a PO. Finally, it proposes actions that encourage the creation of POs and their effective contributions to the sustainable development of aquaculture.
